The Sheffield Manor development in Bristow, a suburb of Washington, D.C., is located in western Prince William County of Northern Virginia. Our community was established in the late nineties and is comprised of single-family, cottage, and townhomes, and offers a community clubhouse, Olympic-size swimming pool, basketball, pickleball, and tennis courts, as well as walking trails, and a two-acre fishing pond.

The Sheffield Manor Housing Development was incorporated in 1995, with the building of single-family, cottage, and townhomes beginning shortly thereafter in 1996. The construction of the development concluded in 2005 with 673 total homes, of which 302 are single-family, 123 are cottage homes*, and 248 townhomes. The homes are reasonably priced, in the $500K – $900K range, and the monthly Homeowners Association (HOA) dues are less than $150. The dues have remained low due to the proper community management by the Sheffield Manor HOA Board of Directors made up of volunteer homeowners and our Property Management company, Sequoia Management, of Chantilly, VA.

The children of our community attend the Chris Yung Elementary School at 12612 Fog Light Way of Bristow, the Gainesville Middle School at 8001 Limestone Drive, or the new Gainesville High School at 13150 University Boulevard, in Gainesville, Virginia. The high schoolers have the option to attend other high schools in the area, offering a variety of different curricula.

The community is approximately 4 miles from Gainesville and 4 miles from Manassas, Virginia.

Directions from Washington, D.C., and points east – take Interstate 66 to exit 44, then at the first intersection signal, turn right onto Balls Ford Road. At the next intersection signal, of Wellington and Balls Ford, continue going straight on to Devlin Road, approximately 1.2 miles, and the community is located on the left.

*Cottage homes were originally designed to be townhomes. The developer petitioned Prince William County to convert these properties to single-family homes. The county granted the request with the stipulation that each cottage home needed to be connected with a fence. These homes generally have a smaller lot size that a single-family home.
